They say good things come in small packages and we think our home is no exception. It is a cosy, very private, cottage type detached house in a quiet lane. It is bright and airy and comfortably furnished with seperate lounge, dining/kitchen and a sunny,conservatory leading from the lounge, overlooking the back garden. Although we have 3 bedrooms one is used as a study. We have double beds in the two remaining bedrooms, with ensuite shower-room off the main bedroom, and a seperate family bathroom. Our home is ideal for a couple (perhaps 2 couples), or 1 couple and 1 child. We have a large drive and private, secure gardens with decked, sunny, sitting areas back and front, the rest being mainly gravel (we travel a lot, not conducive to grass cutting!) with colourful borders of shrubs,lavender and roses. We have broadband internet service and free calls to UK, USA, Canada and most of Europe, so no problem staying in touch with home.

We live only 3 miles from the historic Roman city of Chester (bus stop in village) Visit the "Rows", black and white centuries old shops, walk the original Roman walls which surround the city, or take a cruise along the river. Internationally acclaimed Chester Zoo, famous also for its beautiful gardens, is 10mins drive, and the Blue Planet Aquarium is actually over the road from our house. The National Waterways museum in nearby Ellesmere Port houses a unique collection of canal boats, with rides along the nearby waterways and canals. Within 10 minutes drive, you are in beautiful North Wales, castles, stunning mountain scenery and miles of wonderful coastline. Liverpool,(Take the ferry across the Mersey) the villages and coastline of the Wirral Peninsula, Cheshire, Lake District, Lancashire and Yorkshire all within an hour or two's driving distance. Despite our lane being tucked away, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet village (one of the largest in UK) is within 5 minutes walk, as are pubs, restaurants, cinemas and a hypermarket. Road, rail links and buses to local areas and all parts of Britain are excellent. International Airport, Manchester is 40mins away. Liverpool airport is 30 mins away. Both airports operate cheap flights to many destinations in UK and Europe so a two centre exchange with our home in Spain or a visit to another country is certainly feasible. PLEASE NO EXCHANGES IN AUSTALIA OR NEW ZEALAND. We (Brian and Bernie) are early retirees, Brian worked in the oil industry and latterly Bernie worked for National Health Service as a psychotherapist. We have toured USA/Canada in an ancient RV-great fun, and spent many holidays touring UK and Europe in our motorhome. We now divide our time between our homes in Chester and Pinar de Campoverde, in the Costa Blanca, Spain (also on the exchange site,13567), and of course, our home exchanges, which we love to use as a base to see the world. Both our homes are available for exchange, making a 2 centre holiday a possibility(budget airlines operate from/to local airports in UK and Spain). We have had the privilege of exchanging over 20 times since joining in 2007, all of them memorable, and we have made many friends. We would consider short breaks anywhere in UK., but for longer destinations 2-4 weeks. We may be travelling with 2 friends on occasions but would discuss this with our exchangees.
