Lynda(68) and Guy (77) own this beautiful bungalow which is situated just outside of the City of Cambridge near to the Imperial War Museum in Duxford. The village is small and has a rural atmosphere with three local pubs that serve excellent food and real beers. Duxford is within 20 minutes of the famous University City of Cambridge with its many old Colleges and the famous college "Backs" on the River Cam. There are many local amenities including museums,art galleries a theatre and cinemas. Close by there are National Trust and English Heritage Stately Homes and a fast rail link to London from the local train station(45 minutes to London). The nearest airport is Stansted which is 30 minutes away by car on the M11 motorway.If you are interested in sports Cambridge has many golf courses, swimming pools, tennis courts and numerous health clubs. Supermarkets are quite close by and there are farmer's markets in Cambridge, Saffron Walden and Shelford. The bus into town leaves from outside the front door.We are considerate and tidy people and will care for any other person's home as we care for our own houses.

The bungalow has two double bedrooms with en suite facilities and a twin room with a separate toilet and bathroom. The study has broadband internet access and has two desks. The kitchen is well equipped and opens into the large dining area overlooking the garden. The lounge area has a wood burning stove and three sofas plus a large TV and video and hifi unit with large picture windows looking into the garden. Something about ourselves

We are retired and love travelling. Our previous holidays have been to Argentina, Peru and the Galapagos, Australia and most recently Canada and Alaska. We have now exchanged houses successfully three times with families from Spain ,France and Gran Canaria and we have a second home in France which we can offer for exchange as well(not July and August). We have a very affectionate old silver tabby cat called Fleure who misses us when we are away and we are hoping that someone might like to stay in our Cambridge house during February and March this coming year 2013 to fuss over her. Although our neighbour feeds the cat and cuddles her when she can, she really needs more affection as well! We would not expect a straight exchange during that period - another time is fine by us -just come and enjoy the house and cat !! Cambridge is great in the winter and Spring as there are so many cultural events.
