Our 100 year old home is unique and has a charm of its own with exposed beams and leaded light windows. we have patio doors leading out from both the breakfast room and sitting room. Our newly installed kitchen is bright and inviting wth a light oak floor and two skylights with electrically operated blackout blinds. Upstairs we have a main double bedroom with an ensuite shower and WC, a further bedroom which we use as the master bedroom with a queen size bed, and a third bedroom with a double bed. (There is a 4th room which Roger uses as an office).

Within walking distance of Maidenhead town centre, on the outskirts of the village of Bray (home to the world renowned restaurants The Fat Duck and The Waterside). Ideally located as a touring base, our town offers easy access to the cities of Windsor, Henley and Oxford in around half an hour, and the tourist attraction of Stone Henge in 1 - 2 hours. For teenagers, thorpe adventure park is about 35 minutes away with large scale roller-coasters and rides. Trains from Maidenhead to London (30 to 40 minutes) run until the early hours of the morning so going to a West End Show or dinner is not a problem. Within a 90 minute drive you can reach the Cotswold hills and their charming villages. We are also close to Legoland in Windsor as well as Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventure - theme parks. Something about ourselves

We are Roger and Liz, in our early sixties. Liz has recently retired from teaching in primary school, and after many years in the computer industry, Roger now has his own business repairing computers. We have family in Burlington and would like to have our own accommodation close to where they live. Ideally we would like to find a house with a swimming pool so that we can entertain our young grandchildren. We have already enjoyed one successful exchange in this way, and would hope to do the same again. Of course we would take great care of your home and would expect the same care to be taken of our own home. We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in the UK. ![]()
