Our neighborhood

We are a short drive from the typically English market town of Newbury with its street market, red brick buildings and canal boats drifting by on the canal. The village of Woolton Hill was where the sheep drovers would rest their sheep for the night before taking them to Newbury market. A mix of old and new houses have grown round the village church, shop and pub along with a local playpark and tennis court. Explore the country lanes by bike or take a walk on the ridgeway to see views to Oxford and beyond. Visit the ancient monument of Stonehenge, just 30 minutes drive away. Ideally situated to visit the historic towns of Oxford, Winchester, Bath, Bristol and Salisbury. One hour by train from London. Shop to your hearts content in Reading. Visit Portsmouth historic dockyard with the Mary Rose and Nelsons ship.
