Our cottage is situated on a beautiful, quiet lot, with big trees and lots of privacy.
Enjoy our well equipped cottage, ideal for families who like to get around on our bikes, play or relax in the big garden or just spend days at the beach (5 min. on bike) or the forest. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, a closed wood stove, open kitchen and a light Scandinavian design, easy to maintain and user friendly. It is equipped with 2 terraces and has 'open doors' to the garden. Enlarged living with new big windows a couple of years ago.
Newly isolated and with a high quality woodburner our place is really comfortable in off season. The colours of the garden and Asserbo forest should do the rest to make your autumn visit memorable. Close by you will find the idyllic old village of Liseleje with shops and restaurants at the seaside. Alongside the coast of Kattegat you will find nice villages, dominated by either fishing traditions or local cottage/b&b tourism on a small scale. Lots of art galleries, places to eat, nature to explore.
Sightseeing: Within 1 hour you can visit Copenhagen's design shops, old streets or Tivoli. Closer by you will find one of the royal castles in Hillerød or visit Hamlet's place in Helsingore. We are a retired couple, Birgit and Kjeld (69,70) frequent travellers and enjoying life. We are interested in culture (books, museums, opera, theatre), history and gardening. We own the house with our daughter Maria and her husband Leo and their 3 children. They live in Holland. Separately or together we might be looking for exchanges. Offers to Holland are therefore not on our list, sorry!
