Description of our house
[
![]() ]
The house is the middle of five houses. It is small, yet practical, comfortable and cosy. Ground floor consists of the hallway with a staircase and a separate toilet (with baby chancing facilities), a utility room with washing machine and a kitchen. The kitchen is connected to our combined dining- and living room where we have a flat screen TV and HiFi. From the living room you can enter our small terrace and private garden. On the first floor you will find the bathroom with shower and three small bedrooms, that can accommodate 5 to 6 people. Parents bedroom with king size bed, our daughters room with a sofa bed (single bed or converted to a queen size bed), and our office witch has an extra bed (queen size). In our living room we have a fish tank and we would like you to look after it during your stay. Our house is very child friendly. We have toys and equipment for children aged 1 - 10 - including high chairs, prams and strollers. We share a bigger garden with our neighbors in front of the house. There you will find a big trampoline, swings slide and a sandpit.

We live in the greater Copenhagen area, only 12 km's (7 miles) from the city center. It is a safe mainly residential area with row houses, apartments and bungalows and a few small shops. Easy access to the highway system. There are approximately 10 minutes walk to the nearest S-train-station. There is also easy access to Greater Copenhagen's bus net. You can use our car if you like (Renault Grand Modus - diesel fuel - from 2008). Copenhagen is a wonderful city with museums, castles, beautiful houses, canals and hiking/biking roads and areas. We can recommend Tivoli, The Little Mermaid, Rosenborg Castle, The Experimentarium etc. If you go north from our home you can visit the castle of Hamlet (Kronborg) or Frederiksborg Castle. If you go west approximately 2 hours by car or train, you can visit Hans Christian Andersen's birthplace in the city of Odense. Near our home there are great green areas for walking/running/cycling There are also good cafe's and restaurants near our home. ![]() Something about ourselves

We are a family of three. I (Mariane) born in 1960, mother and wife, former teacher, now working with daycare in our home. My husband (Christian) 52, works at an international translation company. Our daughter (Ea Charlotte) is nine. She attends third grade at a local community school. We will, of course, take good care of your house or apartment. We like reading, theater, traveling, movies etc. Our daughter dances ballet and attends a church choir, plays euphonium and likes painting and drawing. We had a very successful exchange to Paris summer 2010, and another one within our country between Christmas and New Year - and we would love to do it again. ![]()
