Description of our house
We offer a large and beautiful house, awarded for its streamlined 60ies architectural style. We have one master bedroom (parts of the room is included for one of the children), and two childrens bedrooms, as well as two bathrooms. We have a dining room, and a large living room with an open fireplace and a grand piano. Furthermore, kitchen, washing room and office. All the rooms have glace from floor to roof so you almost feel like being outside in the large garden all the time. We would like to have a long summer holliday next summer (end June beginning August) and maybe swop house with your family for some or all of this time?

Our neighborhoodWe feel that our house is next to perfectually situated - within 15 minutes by car you are at the center of Copenhagen and yet we overlook field and forest. From our garden you can access an extended area of natural reserves going all the way to the coast. It's a perfect area for walking and bycycling and of course being so close to Copenhagen it is very easy to enjoy all the cultural and historic pleasures of the old capital of Denmark. Sweden can be reached in 45 minutes over the bridge, a nice beach is within 10 minutes in car and some of Denmarks really great beaches are 40 minutes away following the north coast. There are many possibilities for activities: golf, canoing, walking, cyckling, tennis, all sorts of cultural events in the capital of Denmark, or the many castles or museums in the vicinity. From 6 - 14th July there is a great Jazz festival in Copenhagen which we can warmly recommend. And then of course the beaches are the favorit of the children. Our neighbour hood is very quiet and friendly with very nice people

Something about ourselvesWe are a family of two adults and three children (Eline (5), Andreas (7) and Asger (10)) and a cat who lives primarily outside (he just decided to move in him self! and probably he will stay away while we are not there - at least until he gets used to you). Thomas is an associated professor in Climate Change at the University of Copenhagen and Marie-Louise is an advisor within international development work at the Danish Red Cross. We spent most of our spare time just relaxing in the garden and walking and bycykling in the beautiful surroundings of the natural reserves or along the coast line. We also enjoy music a lot. Furthermore, having parts of our family living in the same neighbourhood we also spent much time together with them, e.g. using the tennis court which lies at the end of our street. We travel a lot but primarily as part of both our jobs, and would like now also to experience some of the world together with our children. We never tried swop houses before but think it is a fantastic opportunity - we are looking forward to share our house with you and would be very happy to help you pass a wonderful vacation at our place.
