We can also exchange our 2nd home: a small modern cabin (see photos) in Sweden, with a large terrasse directly at a lake in a forest area. The cabin is a 6 hour drive from our home, sleeps 5 persons (2 in guestcabin and 3 in main cabin) and is fully equipped with bathroom, kitchen and heating. The lake has shallow water in a large area near the cabin, which means kids can play safely in the water. Canooe, rowing boat, rubberboat and bikes are available. Our cabin can even be used in winter as "Isaberg", a smaller alpine skiing center, is only 28 km away.

Our neighborhood

Our house is situated in village Resenbro and our garden ends at river Gudenaaen(Denmark's largest river). Resenbro is 7 km downstream from Silkeborg, the central town in Denmarks lake district (50.000 enh.). Plenty of hiking possibilities along the river and in forest within walking distance. 1 km to golf course. Several swimming lakes within 2-10 km. 3 km to grocery shops, 7 km to town center with plenty of shopping, cafes and restaurants, cinema etc. The buss to town stops 200 m from our house. 70 km drive to Legoland (the original one!), 40 km to Århus, the "capital" of Jutland. 1 hour drive to the sea and great beaches (both the east- and westcoast of Jutland) 3 hour drive to Copenhagen and 3 hours to Sweden. Lots of family and friends nearby that can help you out on practical issues and give turist advice. Something about ourselves

We are Bettina (46) and Peder (50), a married couple with a 15y old calm and carefull daughter, Nadia. Non-smokers. We are both professionals (Project Manager and Managing Director) and love travelling when we can find the time. We have done 3 home exchanges in the past (Canada and Norway) and love this way of experiencing a foreign country almost like a resident. We like being near towns/capitals but also love nature and wildlife, hiking, canooing, skiing etc. We have 3 gentle, cute cats that we hope you will take care of during your stay. They require nothing but food and water and a bit of affection. We have just organized a homeexchange in France for July 2010, and in July-August 2011 we hope to go to New Zealand, and include 2-3 weeks of home exchanges in different areas of the country.
