![]() Our neighborhood
Canada's capital region! Gatineau is in the French speaking province of Quebec, and across the bridge from the city of Ottawa, Canada's capital, which is in the English speaking province of Ontario. All in all, it is a very bilingual area! (Tourism websites: www.canadascapital.gc.ca www.ottawatourism.ca www.tourismeoutaouais.com) We are near a great natural park (Gatineau Park)with a network of bicycle paths. We are also close to many wonderful golf courses, a casino (Casino du lac Leamy), and a few minutes away from downtown Ottawa: Parlement building, Byward Market, Rideau Canal, National Gallery of Canada, other museums (war museum, children's museum...), restaurants, clubs, shopping and more. A great destination in its own right, and very central. 2-hour drive to Montreal, 4-5 hour drive to historic Quebec City, 4-5 hour drive to Toronto. Our house is a few streets away from 3 different parks for children, cinema, grocery store... Our neighbours are fantastic! No pets please, because of allergies in the family. Something about ourselves
We are a professional couple with 2 boys aged 10 and 7. This would be our first home exchange. We think it could be a great family experience! ![]()
