Description of our house

ABOUT OUR TOWNHOME AND ABOUT OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. The house include two bedrooms on first level. The dining room, the kitchen and the living room are located in the ground floor. A bedroom and a family room are also avalaible in the basement. A balcony and a small garden are usable.... We are in Rosemont district near the Plateau Mont-Royal and the Olympic stadium. Our house is located in a quiet area recently developped. Young family are living around. Small urbans parcs are accessible as well as many services (Drugstore, Café, restaurant, bakery,...). Montreal Downtown and Old Montreal are accessible in less than ten minutes by car. The subway is at ten minutes by walk. We are near a bicycle path. The botanical garden is close to our house. It takes about 20 minutes walking to go there. We use to visit it all year long. The Chinese garden, the tree house, the insectarium, the Japonese garden are very nice at spring and summer time. Neighbors of the botanical garden Maisonneuve’s Park is a big park for walking or biking. A small golf course (9 holes) is also located in that area. In the same district you will find the Olympic Park with the Biodôme (ecosystems, fauna and flora),the Montreal tower observatory, on a sunny day it’s a nice way to look at the city from the top of the tower. A new soccer stadium is located near the Olympic tower and a movie theatre is accessible in the same area.

Our neighborhood

ABOUT MONTREAL. The Old Port is a must. You can walk or bike on the quays of the Old Port between the clock tower and the locks. It’s always very popular. There is also a lot of small historical museums. The most interesting is the Montreal Museum of Archeology and History (Pointe à Callière). It’s also very pleasant to walk on Notre-Dame Island and Ste-Helen Island, the gardens are beautiful and it’s located near by the Casino. You can rent canoe and pedalo near the only beach of Montreal, you can visit the Biosphere (the American Pavilion of the expo 67) and the Fort Stewart Historical Museum. The Mount Royal Park is also very enjoyable. You can take a walk along the paths and admire the city from the top of the viewpoints. Among the interesting museums located downtown, there is the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (Sherbrooke street), Canadian Centre for Architecture, Mc Cord Museum and Musée d’Arts Contemporain located on the esplanade of the Place des Arts. The Plateau Mont Royal is a district close to Rosemont. It’s a typical montrealers district. You will find many bars, cafés, cosy restaurants, specialty shops, activities and events of all kinds. This district is very appreciated by young adult, particularly St-Denis and St-Laurent Streets at North of Sherbrooke and Mt-Royal street at East of St-Denis street.

Something about ourselves

ABOUT OUR FAMILY AND OTHER INFORMATIONS. I'm an hospital manager and my wife is a nurse. we are in the forties and we have a seven years old girl. I'm Canadian and my wife Swiss... Quebec city is at 2 hours from Montreal. The Old Quebec is a Unesco World Heritage. You can easily spend a couple of days there. We particularly like to walk in Quartier Petit-Champlain, Dufferin Terrace beside Château Frontenac, the upper town and on the plains of Abraham. The Museum of Civilization, « Musée des Beaux-Arts » and the Citadelle are also very interesting. OTTAWA Ottawa the Canada’s capital, is at less than 2 hours drive from Montreal. We like to walk along Rideau Canal and « colline parlementaire ». There is a lot of museums like Museum of Civilization and Museum of Arts of Canada. Near by, you will find By Market with many restaurants and caf
