Description of our house
My home is very comfortable and invitingly decorated. All rooms have a view of the water, although when the weather is good most of the time at home is spent on the deck or large screened porch.
The large main bedroom ha a queen sized bed, ensuite with garden tub and shower. The second bedroom is mainly used as a home office but can be converted to a bedroom, it also has its own bathroom with shower.
The deck has a glass top table with padded chairs and umbrella as well as a barbeque with side burner. It also has a padded lounge chair for lounging on the lower deck. A freestanding hammock lives under a tree in good weather. The large screened porch is furnished with wicker chairs and rockers, a day bed and table and chairs.

Our neighborhoodI live at the end of a pituresque half km red dirt PEI road. There are only four homes on this street, none visible from the water side of the house. It is not cottage country, but typical rural PEI, very beautiful and very quiet. Lobster boats come in by my home during the fishing season and fresh lobster can be bought off the boats. Minutes from here one can purchase oyster, famous island mussels and other types of seafood. Lobster season on this side of the island is June. It is also the time that thousands of wild Lupins grow all over the island. Hundreds right along side my home. June may be too cool to swim, but not to walk on the beautiful beaches which abound around the island. One of the many provincial parks is directly across the water from my home. June is also a good time to golf as it is shoulder season so one would get a price break, even though golfing is not expensive here.
There are many lovely seaside drives around the island, all with their own charm and points of interest.
The Confederation Bridge (approx.13kms) is a 45 minute drive from here. It links PEI to New Brunswick. Or one can take a short ferry trip from the eastern part of the island to Nova Scotia. The cost for ferry or bridge is $40. they let you on the island free and charge you to leave!!

Something about ourselvesI am a retired teacher, originally from British Colombia. Since retirement I have taught a year in Colombia. I have travelled extensively but most enjoy hanging out in one spot for awhile and driving around the area. I love to golf and there is great and inexpensive golfing on PEI.
My property had been a pasture in a former life. I have spent the last five years creating gardens and planting many, many trees. I still have lots to do but it is coming along. When I am away, my neighour takes care of cutting the acre of grass.
I am single but I sometimes travel with a friend or family, although sometimes I go alone.
