Description of our house
[
![]() ]
Our home is comfortable, clean, and spacious and very handy to the heart of the city. Its a 2 and 1/2 story detached house (our street has a lot of Victorian semis so fully detached was a real score!). It was built around 1910 and we've renovated it to really open up the main floor. Decor is mid-century modern and we have a great art collection. It has a large kitchen with adjoining dining area. The kitchen and deck looks out to a small, fenced back yard that is private with a beautiful Japanese Maple which I love seeing each morning. We love spending time at home and cooking for friends - the house has a warm, friendly vibe.

Located in a cool, artsy neighbourhood called Lower Riverdale. Our neighbours are a mix of professors, writers, artists, film production types, young professionals and local business owners. Beautiful, tree-lined streets - it's quite peaceful to stroll around yet in just a 15 minute walk north and you are at the Danforth (lively Greek area filled with sidewalk cafes) or if you walk less than 10 minute south, you are on Queen Street East, which is bursting with awesome restaurants, gourmet food shops, cafes and specialty boutiques. It's a 10 minute streetcar ride to get downtown and our house has really easy access to the DVP and Gardiner Expressway if you to take a day trip to Stratford, Niagra-on-the-Lake or up to Canada's Wonderland amusement park. ![]() Something about ourselves

We are a married couple, MJ and Glenn, in our early 40s with one 8 year old daughter, Annie. I'm the founder and executive director of a national breast cancer charity in Canada called Rethink Breast Cancer that focuses on helping young women dealing with breast cancer. My husband transitioned a few years ago from being a music industry exec to running his own digital communication consultant biz. One of his main clients is the Terry Fox Foundation. Glenn loves to cook and experience local cuisine and can spend all day at a farmers market. I love to walk and shop. Glenn golfs and fishes and Annie and I figure skate year round. Somehow we make it all work! ![]()
