The apartment is ideally situated in an upscale neighbourhood in central Toronto. It is located on the fourth floor (with elevator) of a charming, well-maintained and quiet building, which is a five minute walk to the subway, shops, the post office, banks and restaurants. Movie theatres and shopping areas are also very close by. The apartment has been fully renovated and has hardwood flooring throughout. There is a comfortable living room and dining room area, two bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen (with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine), a den with a flat-screen TV, and a bathroom with a bathtub and a rain-head shower attachment. Both the main bedroom and second bedroom have queen size beds. There is also a sofa bed in the den that can sleep 1 person.

Toronto is a vibrant city with a high quality of life and a rich multicultural fabric. It provides a wonderful opportunity to explore authentic cuisine from around the world. For those who love nature, there are spectacular trails to the north of the city, and beautiful parks all over the city in which to bike or hike. During the summer, there are fringe theatre productions and open air jazz festivals, as well as concerts and art exhibits. There is access to public transportation right in front of the apartment and the subway runs until the early hours of the morning, so traveling around the city day and night is quite convenient. I am a teacher in my late 40s, with a 17 year old son. I have now completed two exchanges, one to Italy and one to France, and both have been wonderful experiences. As I am off in the summer, it is possible for me to do exchanges for longer periods of time (3-4 weeks). I am looking forward to seeing new places and making new friends.
