We live in a cozy 1 bedroom apartment on a quiet residential street in Toronto. The apartment is perfect for a couple or single traveler. It's located on the top floor of a house, with many windows throughout, so there is a lot of wonderful natural light during the day. I'm on a residential side street, so there is no traffic noise, and is very quiet and safe at night. My apartment has air conditioning the summer months. The bedroom and living room face out onto a tree-lined street and during the summer you wake up to birds singing to you! There is a fully equipped eat-in kitchen, with a gas stove, microwave, and a washing machine and dryer. The bathroom has a shower/bathtub, the bedroom contains 1 real double bed with a very comfortable mattress. The living room is spacious, with a lovely view of the street. The apartment has wi-fi internet. You are also free to use our bicycles. We do not own a car to exchange. You'll also have use of a monthly Metropass which allows you unlimited free access to the transit system.

It’s only a 7 minute walk to the Bloor-Danforth subway line, various bus and streetcar routes. It's a 15 minute walk to Toronto’s Little India, and vibrant Greektown is close by (20 min-walk, or 2 subway stops), with has many restaurants, cafes, shopping and groceries. The Beaches neighborhood is only a 10 minute car ride away. My apartment is very close to 2 supermarkets, a late-night drugstore, a wonderful French Patisserie (that has the best croissants!) and a handful of neighborhood restaurants and small local shops. To give you a flavor, within a 10 minute walk of my place are 5 Ethiopian restaurants, a vegetarian Thai and excellent Mexican restaurant, plus a sports bar with the best hamburgers in town.

There is a huge park at the end of my street (1 minute walk), perfect for picnics. It has a public pool that’s open during the summer months. There is also a school with a track, if you feel like jogging. The entire neighborhood is quite pleasant for jogging, at any time of day. The area has a diversity of ethnicities, young professionals and families. Many people are out walking their dogs, and going for a stroll in the evenings. There is free street parking during the day, and 2 very inexpensive parking lots for overnight ($3-$5 for overnight.) I don’t own a car, but there is an inexpensive car rental place 2 blocks away that I often rent from (price range is around $35/day).

We are Sabrina and Colin, both in our 30's. We're a professional couple. I work as an online marketing manager at an insurance company, Colin is self-employed in mobile software development. When we travel we always try to experience a town as a local would; by using public transit, walking, and prefer staying in apartments over hotels. We do not smoke, and don’t have any pets but love animals and we could take care of your animals or plants while staying in your home. Our apartment is our home, which we take pride in caring for and will take care of your house with the utmost care and respect.
