When we purchased our log cabin 2002, we thought we had died and gone to heaven. It is an authentic log home built 20 years ago using logs hewed 200 years ago by Canadian pioneers. The property is 100 acres of forest threaded with many walking trails. Our property is surrounded by 500 acres of additional forest. You can spend two weeks here and never see or hear another person. It is paradise. There are many birds, rabbits, deer, wild turkeys, and pheasants that share the property with us. If you are looking for a restful and relaxing experience in the country, our cabin offers the best of rural Canada. We feel very lucky to own our cabin, which we call Wildwood.

The cabin is located two hours northwest of Toronto Pearson airport, 10 minutes north of a small town called Hanover. The property is located in Grey County, centrally located to many of Ontario's most popular tourist destinations, including Southampton, Sauble Beach, Owen Sound and the Bruce Peninsula. You can drive to some of Ontario's best beaches on Lake Huron in under 40 minutes. You can also go biking, canoeing, kayaking, and sailing nearby. We are a professional couple in our early 50s. Ginny is a medical doctor, and Bill is a businessman and writer. We have two children in their early 20s. We live primarily in the Toronto Beach area, and spend most weekends at our cabin. We had our first home exchange in August 2010 with a Parisian couple. It could not have gone better. Everyone had a great time. After this first exchange, we are very enthusiastic about new home exchange adventures. We are looking for fellow exchangers who are respectful, fun, and are good at negotiating the details of the exchange with flexibility and consideration.
