We are on a residential street with large trees and beautiful homes in the centre of Toronto. Downtown Toronto is safe anytime of the day or night. Within 10 minutes walk of the house is the main luxury shopping area, along with cinemas, the best restaurants, museum/art galleries of the city. The nightlife and theatre district is 10 minutes by car or subway. The subway station is nearby(500m), but almost everything is within walking distance. We are also about a 10 minute walk to the main campus of the University of Toronto. A car is only required if you want to leave the city. Spring in Toronto is lovely, flowers blooming, sidewalk cafes opening, warm sunny days. Toronto also has the tourist bike rental system now popular in major cities. Something about ourselves

Oliver is a semi-retired architect of 65 and Lucie still works as a microbiologist, trying to keep her age a secret. Our children are grown so we like to travel a lot, to places with some 'cultural shock'(foreign language, culture etc.). We have visited much of the world except Asia, S. Africa and Turkey. ![]()
