Our very large condo offers two spacious bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and the second bedroom has a double bed. The living room and den are open to each other and share the solarium exposure. Much of our furniture consists of Canadian antiques, lovingly collected over the years.

From our dining room window is a lovely view of St. James Cathedrel where Queen Elizabeth attended a service on her last visit to Canada. Our solarium overlooks Front Street and has a view of the famous Flatiron Building and some of the bank towers of the financial district. We enjoy eating in the solarium, overlooking street activity.

Our building provides 24 hour concierge service and security as well as underground parking. The staff is very friendly and helpful and can offer advice and assistance in many regards. There is a gym and squash court on the lower level of our building - we can provide squash raquets - while the pool is on the top floor of our sister building and offers a wonderful view of the Toronto skyline as well as an outdoor terrace with a view of the lake and the neighbourhood. Barbeques are located on the rooftop terrace as well as on a smaller terrace on our floor in our building.

Lively by day but quiet by night, our downtown neighbourhood has the highest ratio of historical buildings in Toronto. Our Market Square condo is located on the same block as the St. Lawrence Market, one of the best markets in the world according to National Geographic. There is also a 24 hour supermarket next door in our sister building for items not available at the market.

We are located within walking distance of many theatres, restaurants, pubs, Harborfront with ferries to Toronto Island, the Distillery District, the Sony Centre, TIFF headquarters, the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Air Canada Centre for basketball, hockey and concerts and the Eaton Centre for shopping.

The King Street subway station is just two blocks away for easy access to other parts of the city so there really is no need for a car to explore Toronto. Movies and TV shows are often filmed in our neighbourhood and the Flatiron building, kitty corner to our condo building, often appears as the background in newscasts as a Toronto icon.

Marilyn is a retired kindergarten teacher and Richard is a CA who likely will never completely retire but is quite willing to arrange his schedule to accomodate travel in the meantime.

We enjoyed five successful exchanges in the 80s when our two children were younger - in the days when exchanges were arranged by mail, using a printed catalogue. Three years ago we resumed exchanging and have completed three and a half more - we still look forward to our portion of a non-simultaneuos Italian exchange.

We have a second home in the charming and historical little town of Niagara-on-the-lake (see photos) so can offer it as an alternative and arrange non-simultaneous exchanges quite easily. http://www.shawfest.

Shorter exchanges to closer locations will also be considered.
