Description of our house
Gutted and totally redone in 2008 including granite counters and stainless steel appliances. Master bedroom has a full bath and change room. The building has a pool, hot tub and exercise room. There are 2 elevators in the building. We have a large deck facing south east. We are in the west building on the quiet side with very good views. There is on site management. This is a plus 55 building so no kids or teens. There is secure underground parking. Our space are 43 and 44 and we only have one vehicle so lots of space. The vehicle is optional with the unit it a 2009 Suzuki sx4 AWD. The front hall and kitchen are wood floors the remaining unit is carpeted. The living room has a gas fire place which is the main source heat as it doesn't get very cold here. The other rooms have electric base board heat which we seldom use. There is internet in the unit as well as 2 t.v.'s, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom.

Our area is called upper Lonsdale. It is mostly single family. Lonsdale ave is the major north/south Corridore in north Vancouver. The north end is forest and the south is water. We are 1 block Lonsdale where is a bus stop that you can catch a bus to anywhere in the lower mainland. Across from it is a Starbucks and beside it is queens cross pub. Very popular pub with a great menu. Across Lonsdale is queens market. Great butcher shop and bakery. Lots of organic veggies and other organic foods. There is also a 7-11, post office and pizza shop. We are less than 10 minutes either east or west to shopping. At the south end of Lonsdale ave is a sea bus that is a 10min. ride to down town Vancouver. within 40 minutes of our place are 3 ski areas. They are cypress bowl, grouse mountain and mount Seymour. Their terrain varies from beginner to expert. Our place is 5 mins from the trans Canada which can get you to Whistler in 1.5 hours. Whistler is a well known year around resort. It has some of the best skiing on the planet. Depending on the season within 40 minutes from our place you can be skiing, sailing, golfing, salmon fishing, mountain biking, hiking, or kayaking and more.
Something about ourselves
I sold my business of several years and tried to retire in 2003.. I couldn't. Greater Vancouver is known as Hollywood of the north so I took some acting classes and started acting. Acting has been good to me I have done TV, shorts, commercials and feature films. It has been fun and good money.. I am a former athlete played football, hockey, baseball, tennis and skied at least 50 days a season. Now I have knee problems and there days I can hardly walk. We have 3 daughters all live in Europe with my grandchildren. My wife is a retired teacher and we traveled during her holidays to visit them. Now that she is retired we plan to travel more. This is disjointed but I am not used to talking about me.
