Our very comfortable 3600 sq ft modern home built up the Caulfield Plateau has great indoor and outdoor living space overlooking the ocean and Bowen Island. Our media room and garage are at lower ground level, living space with powder room, the hot tub, BBQ and outdoor patios are on upper ground level and bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second level. Cooking and coffee making are a dream in our fully equipped Miele kitchen. Outdoor living and as much or as little gardening as you want are waiting for you. A car is very necessary - ours will have snow tires in winter though it seldom snows in our area. Our bikes, not mountain bikes, and bike rack can also be in the exchange. And for quieter days at home, our garden and our puzzle, board game, book and music libraries will certainly hold something of interest. Our home is very adult-oriented, not suited for young children.

We live in a very quiet community called Sahalee very near a small shopping area with grocery store. A quick hop to the freeway takes you to all the wonders of the Vancouver area - 20 minutes to Stanley Park, downtown Vancouver with shops, museums, clubs, fine restaurants or to the Park Royal Shopping Centre - 15 minutes away. Three local ski hills are just minutes away and Whistler/Blackcomb ski areas are just over an hour's drive away. Only 5 km to the ferry terminal leads to touring opportunities on Vancouver Island and the sunshine coast. You can hop on the ferries that you've been watching pass by from our patio. Simon and Diane, both University graduates and small business owners, love to play squash, cycle, garden and travel. We have no children and no pets. We love to travel and enjoy new experiences. Our first house exchange has been great - exploring the Netherlands' wonderful cycle paths. We are excited about planning our next exchange, don't know where or when yet. A non-simultaneous exchange is possible with skiers perhaps who'd like Vancouver in December. We look forward to arranging a series of exchanges in Central and South America.
