Hi friends! Our beautiful home was custom built in October 2007. It is clean and very spacious. It is a short walk down to the quaint seaside village of Cowichan Bay ( http://www.CowichanBay.com )
just 40 minutes to Victoria. Here you will find many restaurants (one is a 5 star), pubs, fresh baked goods, artisan shops etc... There are so many things to do depending on your interest... wine tours, kayaking, great shopping, whale watching, float plane to downtown Vancouver, hiking, golfing, fabulous spa's, diving, boating... you name it... we have it here!
Cowichan Valley means "The Warmland" and we enjoy the mildest temperatures and the most hours of sunshine in all of Canada! Our home is approx 3000 square feet with 6 bedrooms. King size bed in the master with jetted tub, 4 children's room's and a guest room with queen bed. Everything you need and more is here (2 large plasma TV's, great sound system, heat pump to keep you cool in summer and cozy in winter, massage chair, treadmill, elliptical, 2 gas fireplaces, tree fort with swings, Wii, kids toys etc...) There is a huge media room with sliding doors to the fenced backyard oasis. Best of all is the new hydrotherapy 50jet tub in the backyard... wonderful to soak in after a day of exploring!
WE LOVE OUR HOME ON OUR ISLAND PARADISE and you will too! It's a little slice of heaven surrounded by country walking trails. Many great things to do here on sunny Vancouver Island! We are a happy family looking to visit Penticton area in the summer of 2012 - August 4 - 11th. I am 37 and my husband is 43. We enjoyed traveling around the world before kids, but now that we have children we think it's time to explore a little closer to home.
I used to run my own business but am now a stay at home mom to amazing twin boys, a beautiful daughter and a brand new baby daughter, Kevin loves working with his hands as a welder/fabricator. Although we have rented other peoples homes in Paris and Cap 'd'Antibes, this will be our first time opening our home to others. We are respectful and would take good care of your home and would hope for you to do the same with ours.
We enjoy gardening, spending time with friends and family, BBQing, cooking great meals and sampling good wines. We would love to help you plan an unforgettable holiday in beautiful BC, home of the 2010 Olympics! If you would be interested in swapping please contact us so we can better get to know one another... feel free to ask anything!
