Description of our house
Our home is warm and inviting, very spacious and bright. There is hardwood throughout and large windows some with stained glass. We have a large kitchen/family room with double french doors which looks out onto our property,our family and friends spend most of our time in this space, coffee first thing in the morning on our large deck is a daily ritual in the summer. There is a wonderful playhouse high up in the trees and a trampoline for the kids to enjoy.
We have a piano, acuistic guitar and electric guitar for the music minded.

Our neighborhoodQualicum Beach is located on Vancouver island. Many people have vacation homes here as it is such a beautiful location. Our home is surrounded by other acreages yet we are only a 15 minute walk to town center and the beach. We are a thriving artist community and in the summer there is live theatre nightly(BARD to Broadway). We have a farmers market every saturday. You can make daytrips to several islands that are close to us. If you like sailing, water skiing, hiking,jogging, golfing and many other activities you will love it here. We are a two hour drive to Victoria(such a beautiful city) and an 1 1/2 hour ferry ride to Vancouver. You can also fly from the Nanaimo waterfront to Vancouver in 20 min. We are also a two hour drive to Tofino and Uculet(people come from all over the world to see the open ocean at it's most beautiful)

Something about ourselvesWe are Jean(artist) rug hooking designer and Greg(accountant) owns public accounting practice, long distance runner completing two marathons a year. We have two children Sarah 16 who is interested in the arts, acting and singing and Dayne 11 who is interested in hockey, lacrosse, guitar. Both of our children are in French immersion. We love the idea of a house exchange even though we have not done so before. We are interested in meeting new people and experiencing new things. We love cats but unfortunately my husband is very allergic so we could not stay in a house with any cats
