Description of our house

Our home is an "arts & crafts" style house built in the 1920's. We have a suite on the top floor with wonderful tenants(they are the ones who get to know our fellow exchangers, they are like family and have been with us for more than 10 years. They have a separate entrance through back). We occupied the first and downstairs floor. The house has 3 bedrooms in the basement, and 2 on the main floor. There are 2 bathrooms (one up, one down). Fenced backyard garden and a back porch off the kitchen. Hardwood floors and tile on main floor, carpet in the basement bedrooms only. TV Xbox room downstairs.

We live in the "Dunbar Neighbourhood", a very nice family oriented area with lots of parks around. Three blocks west is Pacific Spirit Park (forest park with lots of trails.) We are on a hill with some mountain view. The University is 5 minutes (10 by bus),and Downtown is 15 min away by car. This area is excellent for any day trips you would like to do in Vancouver. Buses are 1 block away and you can make the conection to the Canada Line (subway or skytrain), Expo Line or Millenium Line. Local mountains are 30 -45 minutes away (Cypress, Grouse, Seymour) . Whistler is 2.5 hs North; Seattle in USA about 3.5hs. We are only 20 minutes away from YVR. Something about ourselves

We are Maria Noel(45, mom) with 2 teenagers, Alexander(19) and Robert (18). We love to travel and visit new places and cultures. We had travelled a few times to Southamerica (Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Brazil, UK) We had done 3 very successful swaps in 2007 Surrey UK, 2008 Park City, Utah USA, and 2010 New York City.
