Our house is on two treed acres in a country setting on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It is comfortable, clean and spacious. It has a large kitchen with eating area and a dining room. It also has two very comfortable sitting areas, as well as two bedrooms, computer room, laundry room and 3 bathrooms. A large deck, partially covered, at the back of the house, is private and has mountain views.

Our house is situated in a quiet area only 5 minutes from the nearest town of Ladysmith. A larger city, Naniamo (70,000) is just 20 - 30 minutes away and Victoria is 75 minutes south. The ferry from/to Vancouver takes 95 minutes. Our town of Ladysmith has approximately 7000 people. It is very picturesque, located on the water with a nice beach, park, museum, and hiking trails. http://www.town.ladysmith.bc.ca There are lots of sights to see on our beautiful island. Whalewatching, museums, fishing, theatre, arts, murals (Chemainus). The resort of Whistler is just 90 minutes north of Vancouver. This is a very beautiful drive. Something about ourselves

We are Joe and Joan, a married couple of 26 years and have one grown daughter. We are both recently retired and want to discover the world. We are also travelling with Richard and Sheila, a married couple of 37 years, both recently retired and have 2 grown children. We would like to discover Australia or Belgium or the Netherlands would give us a start in seeing Europe. We have enjoyed one house exchange this past summer and know from good reports from friends who have exchanged many times that it is a great way for us to see the worls and for you to see our great country too.
