Just 5 minutes walk from downtown in a very quiet townhouse neighbourhood, located on the side of Sulphur mountain, a short distance below the natural Hot Springs. All winter sports available, and summer activities include all mountaineering activities, plus swimming, tennis, canoeing and horseback riding. Most of the Banff townsite is focussed within a 2 block area, so everything is within easy walking distance. Ski buses leave from town to take you to the 3 ski hills. In summer there are many local hikes from easy to challenging, and there are guided tours to the Sunshine Village ski area. After living in Banff for more than 30 years, I still love living here. The renowned Banff Centre for the Arts - http://www.banffcentre.ca - provides a year round entertainment and programmes in art, music, theatre, dance and more which are open to the public. I'm a retired British trained physiotherapist employed at the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital for many years. Currently over-employed in volunteer activities. I'm an outdoor sports enthusiast so Banff has been a perfect place for me to live. My daughter and two grandchildren live in Vancouver. Recently I've developed a deep interest in the theatre and have been fortunate to be involved with a musical theatre company, hence my desire to visit London and New York. A short trip to a warmer climate also has some appeal. I have never done a house exchange before though the idea has great appeal. ![]()
