Description of our house

We offer a spacious two-storey home in a quiet, safe neighborhood centrally located in Sao Paulo. Newly renovated, with solar water heating system and all mod cons. Downstairs there is a large open plan area, including play room, dining room with 8 place dining table, and TV room. There is also a large kitchen with adjoining eating area, and a WC. Upstairs there are four large bedroom (two ensuite). The master bedroom is large with a very spacious bathroom, including jacuzzi, double shower box and double sink, over looking back yard. There is a guess room with a double bed, and two single rooms, both with pull out sofas that can sleep extra people. There is a back yard, which we are planning on reforming in the near future. We have a full time maid (optional).

Close to main Av. Paulista region of Sao Paulo, very nice park (Aclimacao) nearby (5 min walk), close to great restaurants and shopping malls. One hour drive to beach, with optional beach house availabe (three hour drive). Easy access to any region of Brazil (by air) and 30 min flight to Rio de Janeiro. Something about ourselves

I am 44 yr old journalist from Ireland living in Brazil for past 18 years and founder of the gringoes.com website. I lived in Paris for a number of years before moving to Brazil, but my French is a little rusty. Married to Rose, a Brazilian lawyer, and we have twins (six-year old), Ryan and Naomi, who study at the French Lycee Pastuer school in Sao Paulo. Would like to spend as much time as possible in France (or French speaking country) so that my children can be exposed to the French language and culture. We had a very enjoyable home exchange experience to the south of France in July 2010. We are open to simultaneous or non-simultaneous exchanges. We would in fact enjoy sharing our house and vice versa, in order to have the extra advantage of getting to know our hosts and be able to show them more of Sao Paulo/Brazil.
