Description of our house
We have a charming house with a small city-garden and terrace. On the ground floor you enter in our living room, followed by the dining room, the kitchen and the bathroom. Our bathroom is rather small but newly installed and we are sure you will enjoy our spacious shower! On the first floor you will find the master bedroom and the bedroom of our little daughter. Here we can install an extra (double) bed on request. The attic is organized as our working area but there is also a double sofa/bed and it is a nice place to sit and relax. In spring and in summertime its obligatory to sit in the garden and have a delicious Belgian beer at the BBQ...

Our neighborhoodOur house is located in a quiet neighborhood in the centre of Leuven. A 5 minutes walk from the historical centre and 5 minutes walking from the train station. Leuven is a small charming city with 50.000 inhabitants, known for its university. In Leuven you can find many nice restaurants, bars and shops. In town, we also have one of the best chocolatiers of Belgium. By train Brussels-airport is only 17 minutes away and Leuven is 20 minutes from the centre of Brussels. The train will take you to Antwerp (45'), Gent (50'), Bruges (1,5hrs), the Belgian coast (2hrs), the Ardennes (2hrs) and much more... From Brussels Paris is only 2 hours by train and Amsterdam 3 hours... But why would you go away when you can enjoy Leuven itself!

Something about ourselvesWe are Anna(32), Roeland(38) and Laia(1). Anna is Spanish from Catalunya and Roeland is Belgian. Laia is taking the very best of both nationalities... We both work as teachers in higher education. Anna teaches Spanish and Arabic and Roeland teaches psychology. So we can travel during school holidays. In the house you will find many books in Spanish, Catalan, English, Dutch, Arabic and Greek... If you want to start playing the guitar, oud or bouzouki you will find them in our living room... Especially for people with children we have all the necessary stuff for the little ones. We had already two exchanges with very nice people from Amsterdam and Malaga. ***For summer 2009*** we are looking for a place in Barcelona, for a longer period (1 or 2 months, combination of exchanges possible). As we are thinking of moving to Barcelona it would be interesting for us to stay there for a longer time. Other offers outside this period are still welcomed.
