Our village is 30 min from Namur, 50 min from Brussels, the heart of Europe, 15 min from Dinant (Adolphe Sax - inventer of the Saxophone, museum and many festivals) and 2 hours from the Belgian coast. The Deep Condroz is the most beautiful region in Belgium with a lot of castles, the most beautiful villages in Wallonia, fruit and vegetable markets, festivals, old farms, scenic landscape, hiking, Durby Adventures, Cave of Han (Grottes de Han.be), Durbuy (smallest and quaintest town in Belgium), kayaking on the Lesse river, free entrance (with our car) to Domaine de Chevetogne nature&water fun (the biggest playground in Belgium), and of course the citadel of Namur, boat trips (Namourettes), and Maastricht (Netherlands), Luxemburg and Aachen, Cologne (Germany) 1 to 2 hours drive not far away.
We have 3 very nice poneys (2 large sizes and one bigger than Shetland) for horseback riding in our property or outside on so many beautiful tracks. Our 7 bikes are also at your disposal. Our dogs live outside and can be in a large secluded garden when we exchange houses and the cat can be placed in another outbuilding if necessary.

We are a family of 6 and moved from Brussels 6 years ago. We run our own design and production company for wooden kids' and school furniture. I (Michèle) teach conference interpreting at university. We have 4 children (15, 13, 10 and 5 years old) who are bilingual French-German.
We love to travel and have been a lot to the Middle East recently.
So far we had 6 home exchanges: in NYC, Florida, London and Brugge, Amsterdam, Andorra for skiing and later in Paris, Arizona and Maryland/Annapolis in summer 2012. We think that this is a great way to discover different countries and people. We care a lot about other people's property (like our own) and are very tidy and respectful.
