Our house is in the middle of a village called "Wéris", one of the most beautiful village of the Belgian Ardennes (I'm not inventing this, the village has actually officially won this title!). Just outside the village is a prehistorical site of "dolmens" (a small version of Stonehenge) which attracts a lot of tourists. Also in the village there's two restaurants, a museum where the history of the prehistorical stone-site is explained) and a small grocery shop (handy cause open on sunday morning!). The people are friendly and they are used to tourists visiting the village and the neighboorhood. The area is very rural, the village is surounded by woods and nature is extremely beautiful. Not so far is the smallest city of Belgium: Durbuy. There is a lot to do and see in the area: famous War Memorial Museum in Bastogne for example. ![]() Something about ourselves

My husband and I are both in our fourty's. We have joined "home for exchange" on recommandation of a friend. We have had lots of great experiences with this kind of travelling. We have two children (Lewis 17 and Elise 9 years old). We love our house in the Ardennes, for the peace and quite, the lovely nature, great walks and bikerides.... ![]()
