Our home is an 1890s brownstone owned by the same family since it was built. The house has been well maintained and has all of the original woodwork, high ceilings and a great garden. The house is also full of natural light from the glass veranda on the back of the house. My wife and I rent the main floor and the lower level. The top floors are occupied by the owners. The owners are a friendly retired couple and offer us total privacy. The house has a galley kitchen with new appliances. The lower level has a bedroom, and a den (which could be used as a second bedroom) and a washing area. The bathroom is simple but functions perfectly. My wife and I love this house! It really has that charming European style.

The main road in our neighborhood is the Leopold 2 Boulevard which leads to a church on a hill in one direction and the city center in the other direction. The Church is surrounded by a nice park that is good for exercise and sightseeing. In the city center there is everything you would want, Shopping museums restaurants etc. Within walking distance from our home you will find cafes and restaurants as well as many fresh produce stores. My wife Eva and I have been together for 7 years. Eva is a speech and language pathologist and I am an artist. I am originally from the United States and Eva is from Belgium. We have a one year old daughter, Nina, who made her first (home exchange) trip to the US when she was 2 months old... Our main goal for joining this service is to find new places to visit in the USA for vacation. Although we also have a list of places around the world we would like to travel if the right opportunity arises. Please send us a note - we are willing to consider anything!
