Our neighbourhood is very attracting, it's very close to the heart of the beautiful center of Brussels (by metro, bus or by foot) and yet has a very special peaceful character. The area is close to the Brugmann district where you can stroll around streets with the typical art-deco or renaissance houses, trendy bars and restaurants, little markets and spacious parks. We have bikes (and skeelers) in the basement which you can use. (Brussels isn't really bike friendly though, that's in progress...)
Next to the many cultural activities (like the Magritte museum, Bozar and many more) Brussels has also a lot to offer for those who love nature. It is a very green city with big parks and a forest around the city to go for hikings or biketrips. Want to see more of Belgium, in less than an hour you can reach the beach or other nice cities like Antwerp, Leuven or Brugge.
Brussels is one of the best and easiest accessible places in Europe to explore more, like Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin and even London, because it has a excellent train network. Also flights from and to Brussels or Charleroi are rather cheap.

We are a married couple, Auke(36) and Hester(32), both Dutch. Auke is a marketing manager in fashion and Hester owns a graphic design studio. We have a son (born 7-7-'10) who is very sweet. When we are able to have some days off, we love to travel, sometimes with our son, sometimes just the two of us. We did six home exchanges before in Amsterdam, Kopenhagen and Paris, and it was a big succes.
We love our house and city and we'll be happy to share the good vibes! We are tidy and respectful and we will treat your home as it is ours and we expect the same thing from you.

We lived and worked in Amsterdam for 14 years and love to be back ones in a while. Even a short weekend exchange would be nice.
