Description of our house

Our house is a 230 years old country house located in a very attractive lake district area called 'Salzkammergut', 80 km east of Salzburg. Very quiet location as there is no road access, but only 5 mins walking to lake and historic village center Traunkirchen. Astonishing view down to the lake and mountains. The house stands in the middle of a 2000 square meter land with no fences to bordering properties. The interior of our house is kept in simple local country house stile with some Ottoman elements like sofa and tiles.

We live in Vienna, my wife, my 7 years old daughter and I. We use our house for weekends and holidays - all seasons as it offers various outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, sailing, kite surfing, skiing, biking. We have some relation to Istanbul and when we took the decision to buy the house it was the view down to the lake - a bit like the view down to the Bosphorus and the vis-a-vis shore, the other continent.
