Description of our house

Our family house is situated in Traunkirchen, in the in the well known region Salzkammergut, two kilometers away from the lake Traunsee, inbetween of the cities Gmunden (10km) and Bad Ischl (25km). We have a big garden with two terraces and a nice view to the lake. In the ground floor you can find the kitchen and a big living and dining room. The two bedrooms as well as the bathroom and the bureau are in the first floor. We have a garage for one car. Because we live in the mountains, we have much of snow in winter. Nevertheless we have sunny and warm summers.

Traunkirchen is a lovely village next to the lake Traunsee. It is possible to make all kinds of sport activities in the nearest neighbourhood. In summer, the lake invites for swimming, surfing, sailing and so on. You can also go hicking and mountain biking. In winter there are various possibilities to go skiing, sledging or cross-county skiing. Austria and especially the Salzkammergut is also well known for its cultural herritage. You can visit historical sites in Bad Ischl or Gmunden and famous cities like Salzburg and Hallstatt are just one driving hour away. Something about ourselves

We are a married couple (Anna and Klaus, aged 40) with an 8 year old daughter. We both work for the red cross association in Gmunden. Sophie has to go to school, that is why we have to stick to the school holidays.
