I designed this HOME as a Holiday Home in MARGARET RIVER in the South West of WA, but then LOVED IT SO MUCH, DECIDED TO COME AND LIVE HERE PERMANENTLY!! The Cottage is 2 storey, cosy, bright and light throughout. I am an amateur artist and my paintings fill the space, plus there are many eclectic pieces from my travels around the world. There is a Terrace for entertaining and a private courtyard off the single bedroom downstairs. No large gardens, just potted plants and vegetables and an old Apricot tree which gives great shade in Summer. There is a walk-in Shower, for easy access, and a Front Loader Washing Machine in the bathroom also (which is Downstairs). No need for a Dryer, as we have copious amounts of space outside and drying areas for hanging things in the Sun. The main bedroom is upstairs and has a Queen sized bed. The smaller room downstairs has a single bed. All new and with Electric Blankets in winter. Douvets on both beds. There are plenty of towels and bed linen for your use. In the kitchen there is a Dishwasher, and full range of appliances. There are numerous pans and tasteful china - huge white platters and crockery. I want you to really enjoy my home and of course, I'm sure you will treat it with the same respect that I will treat yours.

The Cottage is situated 4-5 mins walk into the Town of Margaret River. It's a cute little town, with one main street, three local Pubs, all within walking distance, a good few restaurants and plenty of local shops for wonderful Food and Wine, and general necessities. We're situated about a 3 hour drive South of Perth - a new, straight highway, mostly, and very easy. Nearing Margaret River, you'll start to see all the Vineyards, and the fields - Sheep and Dairy and Beef Cattle - and often a group of Kangaroos! But Margaret River is known for being one of the Premium Wine-Growing areas in Australia. It's situation in a pristine, World-Heritage listed site on the South Western tip of Australia is surrounded by wonderful ancient forests; fabulous walking tracks; stupendous Caves and World-Class Vineyards. Most of which, are within 10-30 mins. drive from the House, and contain Award-Winning Restaurants. Also, just 10 mins drive from the house are fabulous Surfing Beaches, and swimming areas too. There's a fabulous Beach-side Cafe called White Elephant right on the beach at Gnarabup, which is a local Aboriginal name, and there are many Aboriginal sites around for you to visit. I am a business-woman - previously living in Perth, and prior to that Sydney and England. I've travelled extensively around the world. I write/paint and tell stories - love to entertain, and have a wide circle of friends in Margaret River with whom I can arrange get-togethers with visitors to my Home. They would love to meet you/and I'm sure you'd love to meet them. We're a wonderful MIX down here in Margaret River - the lovers of ART, WINE, COUNTRY, ANIMALS, SEA, - all things natural, really, with a good dose of Sophistication and Common Sense too!!!
