Mount Lawley is a well established area, less than 5km from the centre of Perth. With a very good bus service departing at the front of the complex into the city and a train service within walking distance, the whole region is completely accessible by public transport.
There is a lovely park on the banks of the river only three or four minutes walk. It has barbecue and playground facilities & is popular with families for picnics & perhaps a game of volley ball or cricket. Lovely relaxed, friendly atmosphere, perfect for watching the sun go down on a warm evening.
Also along the foreshore within walking distance is a yacht club & golf club. A walking & cycling path.
Perth offers a range of attractions including but not limited to - Art Gallery of WA, WA Museum, theatres, restaurants, coffee shops, cinemas including outdoor cinemas where you can enjoy a picnic & a current film.
Train to the historical goldfield town of Kalgoorlie. the unit is just 10 minutes from East Perth, the start/finish point for the Indian Pacific train between Perth and Sydney.
Regular coach sevice to Margaret River WA's main wine growing region. In fact a network of coaches to all areas of WA. The unit is also only 10km from Perth Domestic/International Airports, should you wish to see other parts of Australia. Thirty seven years ago my husband & I emigrated to Australia with our three eldest children. It has been a wonderful place to live & bring up our family, to work & to relax.
I live on my own now, my children including our youngest daughter who is very proud to be the only "real Aussie" in the family are all happy & independent.
I now want to spend some quality time in London, time with family & friends & touch base with my roots again.
I was brought up on the outskirts of London & when I finished school, completed my NNEB training as it was then at Chiswick Polytech (also as it was then).
House Swap sounds perfect to me, I can spend time in London & you can experience life in sunny Perth WA & the near perfect weather of a Perth Spring. Blue sky & sun & washing dries in next to no time! Thirty seven years ago my husband & I emigrated to Australia with our three eldest children.
