Our home is light and comfortable with lots of windows overlooking the garden. Outdoors there is a pitched pergola, where we enjoy entertaining friends and having BBQ's. The house itself -the main bedroom is a queen with en-suite and walk inrobe,there are a further 2 bedrooms (a double and a single/cot) and 2nd bathroom. Lounge room, family room, kitchen/dining and seperate laundry.
We also have a caravan which we are happy for exchangers to use to tour our state - or part of it anyway, its pretty vast! Our car is a Ford Escape 4wheel drive. We are in a quiet suburb of Perth with good neighbours if in need of help. Our area is the Swan Valley, it is the main wine producing area in Perth and there are many wineries (good for tastings and leisurly lunches)The landscape is beautiful and there are a many tourist spots near by and its great for cycling. The Vines golf course(highly regarded) is 5mins by car. It is 20mins drive from the beach where you can swim in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, also surfing, diving, wind surfing etc. There is a bus service close by which goes to Perth city,Mandurah/Freemantle/Armadale.
There is large shopping mall 2mins by car also restauraunts and cafe's.
We are in a good area for touring the south west of the state or to go "up North" Monkey Mia, Coral Bay,Exmouth for swimming with the whale sharks for the more adventurous,one of our home exchangers did so and said it was a life time experience. We are David and Eileen in our early 60's/70's.
David was self employed and Eileen in the airline industry. Now we're retired we'd like to do some extended travelling.
Our eldest daughter now lives in Qatar, eldest son in Spain,another in London and we have two other adult children still living in Australia.
We're very open to travel dates but would prefer longer exchanges when going to europe due to distance. We love our home and will treat yours with the respect we give our own. We are able to do non simultaneous exchanges as we are often travelling with our caravan(grey nomads as the aussies say)
