Ours is a lovely old federation home with high decorative ceilings, stained glass windows and polished jarrah floorboards. The rooms are large, the main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen, casual dining area and family room are combined and open on to the patio and pool area. The large front verandah is surrounded by trees. As our swimming pool is not fenced our house is not suitable for children.
Car exchange possible. We are animal lovers so would be happy to care for your pets. Our house is a 7 minute walk along tree lined streets to Cottesloe beach - Perth's premier beach. The beach offers wonderful views, white sand, surfing, swimming, fishing, cafes, restaurants and kilometres of beautiful cycleways. We are a few minutes walk from the local shopping centre with it's trendy shops, restaurants and supermarket, the library, Seaview Golf Links and the train and bus stations. We are a 15 minute walk from the beautiful Swan River.
Cottesloe is 10 minutes by train from the historic port of Fremantle with it's galleries, maritime museum and many cafes and restaurants, and 20 minutes from the city centre. For golfers there are several lovely golf courses within a few minutes drive from home.
Aug/Sept/Oct are the best months to see West Australia's many wildflowers; the annual wildflower festival is held here in King's Park Botanical gardens throughout the month of September and showcases a stunning display of the states wildflowers with a backdrop of the magnificent views of the beautiful Swan River and city centre.
Thirty minutes drive south is the lovely seaside resort of Rockingham and one hour south the beautiful seaside/estuary town of Mandurah. Three hours south you have the world class wine region of Margaret river which is also renowned for its food culture, forrests, beautiful beaches and huge surf.
One hour east is the beautiful Swan Valley - the oldest wine region in WA where the Spring in the Valley festival is held throughout the month of October.
One hour north is Yanchep park where you can see koalas in their native habitat.
Beautiful Rottnest Island is 40 minutes ferry ride from the port of Fremantle where you can see pristine beaches, and is the only place where you will find the small marsupial - the quokka.
