10 mins walk to historic (in Australian terms) village of Berwick, railway stn.& village pub. Have Breakfast, lunch & dinner with teas or coffee in between at a dozen street side cafes, and restaurants some offering unique Australian dishes and decor. 5 mins by car to major shopping & Civic centre with indoor heated pool and modern library, bus passes door. Wilson Botanical Park a 10 min walk (to the front gate), has a high hill with lookouts, views for 30 kms, picnic facilities, gardens and lakes where a variety of birds and animals may be seen. All the facilities of a modern city, easy commuting to Melbourne by car or train, nearby Dandenong Ranges, scenic hills with forest walks, gardens and numerous quaint villages.
