Our home is nestled in the trees on the southern shore of Raymond Island with views of Lake Victoria and the Gippsland Lakes National Park. Large and bright three bedroom house on 11 hectares of native vegetation. It's designed for Australian living with a relaxed feel and beautiful water views. Open plan kitchen/living/dining with fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, study and outdoor living areas. The property is in a secluded area bordering a conservation zone, although it is a short bike ride or walk to town. The property is a working flower farm growing Australian and South African natives, but you wont need to do any work!

Raymond Island is a small friendly community located across the McMillan straits off Paynesville, in the Gippsland Lakes. With abundant native wildlife including koalas, kangaroos and native birds. The area is renowned for its warm climate, recreational sailing/boating, fishing and dolphin watching. It's close to many national parks, including alpine skiing, temperate rainforest, coastal, lakes, rivers and Aboriginal sites. The regional city of Bairnsdale is a short drive away where all shopping and entertainment is available.

Richard 50's, is a designer/builder and flower grower who enjoys travel, the outdoors, camping, sailing ,snow skiing and taking advantage of all there is on offer in the region. The farm keeps us busy but we love to get away and explore other places, we are flexible and accommodating with exchanging. I am Jody 30's, a furniture designer/maker working with native timbers, with an interest in horticulture and the arts. We are passionate about the outdoors, travel, exploring, reading and study.

We would like to travel to England, Wales and Scotland in 2013 for some relaxed touring and garden visits, so any offers would be great as we are happy to consider anything. Please contact us for other destinations in Europe. We have had several fantastic house exchanges and hospitality stays and look forward to future travels. A non-simultaneous house exchange is very welcome. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers Jody and Richard
