We offer a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom luxury apartment in superb Melbourne location. Both bedrooms have comfortable queen size beds. Apartment is fully air conditioned and has every convenience necessary for self catering although there are many excellent restaurants nearby if you prefer. The central business district, Federation Square, the Arts center, museums, sporting stadiums, excellent shopping and restaurants, the beach and bay area and fantastic fresh food markets are all within 20 to 30 minutes walk. If walking is a problem there is a tram stop 2 minutes walk from the door. The apartment offers beautiful views over Albert Park Lake and Port Phillip Bay. There is a full length balcony with barbeque. Complex has pool and gym and 24 hour building attendant who can assist with any problems.

Melbourne is a beautiful city with many attractions. There are numerous free and low cost activities to enjoy. The apartment is within walking distance of 3 fabulous fresh food markets, numerous other shopping centres, several cinema complexes, the beach and bay area and wonderful restaurant options. Many other restaurant strips are located a short tram ride away. Our public transport system is excellent with trams, trains and buses all on the same network. Therefore only one ticket is required for all modes of transport. Although the apartment is located within the city area we are only a five minute walk from two magnificent parks with lovely walking tracks. There are bikes available to make use of Melbourne's many bycycle tracks. As Melbourne is quite flat it is an excellent way to get around. A vehicle is not required to enjoy the city and local area. Regional Victoria offers many attractions within a few hours drive of Melbourne. The Great Ocean Road, the Gold Fields, the Mornington and Bellarine Peninsulas, the Yarra Valley vineyards, Spa towns, Gippsland Lakes and the Alpine region are all easily accessable and well worth a visit. Car exchange is an option or there are several low cost rental agencies in the local area. Our roads are excellent and well signed. We are Jennie and Mal ? both in our mid 50's and still working. I (Jennie) am a civil servant and Mal is a manager in the hospitality industry. This is our second marriage and between us we have 7 grown sons who no longer live with us. We have now done 2 successful home exchanges and are keen to try new places. We spent some time in the UK in 2010 and would love to return for a more lesuirely stay at some stage. I was born in England and would love to catch up with some of my relatives as we did not have time on our last visit. We loved visiting National Trust properties and having a pint in the English Pubs. The fish and chips were pretty good too.. ![]()
