LATEST NEWS:  Our townhouse has been sold!  We have bought a new luxury apartment which is due for completion in October 2010.  It is located right across the road from the beach and will have all of the facilities and equipment that you would expect from a quality property.  Still in Hampton which is a suburb about 17 kilometers (11 miles) from Melbourne's CBD. It has 2 bedrooms (one with en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe), study, lounge - dining room, modern kitchen, bathroom, powder-room and laundry. The kitchen and bathrooms are equipped with high quality (Miele) appliances and fittings. Entertainment facilities include 40" High Definition TV, BluRay DVD, VCR, PVR with hard disk recording, stereo CD player with quality sound system etc. The study has a computer with high speed broadband cable internet connection and colour printer/fax. Our neighborhood

Located between Brighton and Sandringham, Hampton is a prime bayside residential area. It is considered to be one of the most pleasant and liveable of Melbourne's suburbs. Easy walking distance to shopping centres and public transport (bus & train) and the wide, sandy beach is just across the road. For those who like a not-too-challenging walk, the bayside paths offer miles of scenic enjoyment.  Hampton Street is well known for its cafes & restaurants - cuisine from many nations, reasonably priced and great quality. The area is in Golfer's heaven as we are in the world-famous 'sandbelt' with many excellent public and championship club courses nearby. For boating enthusiasts, Sandringham Yacht Club is a three minute drive, the best club on the bay with an excellent restaurant open to the public. Easy access to the Mornington Peninsula with it's wineries, bay and surf beaches, resorts and scenic drives. And of course Melbourne is the cultural capital of Australia - great theatres, museums, zoo's, art galleries, nightlife and much more. It is also ranked as the world's third most liveable city.

Something about ourselves

We are seniors (60+), Liz is a retired teacher and I (Ken) am a semi-retired IT consultant. Non-smokers with no dependent children. We have completed several home exchanges which were all highly successful. The feedback on our home was that the visitors had a great time here and were very satisfied with the comfort, facilities, location etc. They also appreciated that we respected and took particular care of their homes and cars. At this time we have not made our 2011 travel plans so are open to offers. We like to get to know our guests well in advance, so there will be opportunities to exchange emails, telephone calls or even have a Skype video conference if we can arrange it.
