Interested in Australia/New Zealand/Asia swaps any time. NO DECEMBER-JANUARY-FEBRUARY SWAPS DURING YOUR WINTER (we have already done a few thanks and prefer hot locations over our summer!). If you have a house in the northern hemisphere then we would consider a non-simultaneous swap (our warmer months for your warmer months). Swaps can be simultaneous or non-simultaneous. Given our work situation, we will only consider swaps with houses that have fast internet.
Our house is an 1870s fully renovated Victorian mansion. It is huge - over 400sqm with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, formal dining room, two living/family rooms, full laundry, two home offices. We also have a gorgeous, leafy and private back garden complete with deck, fish pond (house swappers will be required to feed the fish) and offstreet secure car parking for two cars (remote control roller door). The area is buzzing but once you are inside our house, it is perfectly peaceful and quiet. The backyard in particular is a haven away from the city. The house has a lovely mix of antiques and contemporary furnishings. We have a library wall full of English language novels. We have central heating throughout and AC to keep the house cool in summer. There is fast WiFi.
We also have a holiday house in Kyneton (70 minutes north of Melbourne), which is available for rent or swap. Kyneton is a foodie centre for country Victoria and is also central to lots of cellar doors; the mineral springs area of Daylesford and the central goldfields area of Victoria. At the back of our house is a large and leafy Botanic Gardens. Within easy walking distance from our house are over 50 restaurants and cafes plus a safe and calm swimming beach. A car would be useful but not necessary. There is public transport easily accessible and Melbourne CBD is only 15 minutes by tram from the end of our street. We are married and in our mid 40s. Our house has been a labour of love with lots of renovations to make is a truly beautiful home. Therefore, there may be 2 or 4 or 6 in our swap party (depending on the size of your house). We love exchanging and we have now done over 30 all over the world. We have become great friends with some of our swappers and have even gone on holidays with some of them.
