Our home is comfortable, clean, and open plan living. A large new kitchen with table and chairs, new ceran cooktop and gaganau oven.
At the back of the house we have a large verandah and undercover pergola where you can have a BBQ or sit and watch the native birds in the garden.
We have ferns in the back garden and native shrubs in the front garden.
A reverse cycle airconditioning which works extremely well.
4 bedrooms, a King sized bed in the main bedroom, a single bed with trundles in bedroom 2 and 3, and a Queen sized bed in bedroom 4. Bedroom 2, is set up as a computer room but has a single bed and trundle in it for our grandchildren when they visit. Our home is comfortable, clean, and open plan living. Our home is a 10 minute walk from our long white sandy beach, which is well patrolled during summer, and safe without under currents. 15 min drive or bus trip to the city centre which has very easy parking, to visit the Museum, Art Gallery, take a ride on pop-eye on the Torrens and visit our zoo . A 10 minute walk and you will arrive at very popular restaurants.
If you want to see more of our State it is only 1-2 hr drive to reach our wine regions, McLaren Vale, Barossa, and a little further on is the Clare Valley. We have the historic mining town of Burra which you can visit after Clare, and still get back in 1 day. Visit Yorke Peninsular, where there are more lovely beaches most of them still unchanged.
A night or two stay away you can visit Kangaroo Island, the Flinders Ranges, and Cooper Pedy, where opal is mined. You'll need an overnight stay to see both those places but they are well worth the visit.
I'll be happy to send you links to all the tourist spots in our lovely State, and our address so you can google us to see our immediate local area. My husband Peter has been retired for 2 years now. I was a teacher and now spend my free time working on photos and videos to make slideshows and dvds of our travels and grandchildren. Peter was a marine engineer and has a hobby of collecting marine artifacts.
We have experienced 16 home exchanges and have found them to work extremely well, and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them as have our exchange partners.
I can assure you, you will be truly happy with our home and surroundings. We would definitely treat your home with respect and leave it exactly the way we found it.
We love travelling, and corresponding with people we hope to exchange with, as well as our past exchange partners. If you want to exchange at a time when it doesn't suit us, we can always go to visit family interstate to leave our home free for you to stay in. Please email us, we would love to hear from you.
