Description of our house
We've recently moved to Queensland after 28 years in Sydney and now live in a contemporary, two year old waterfront home with swimming pool. We are close to pristine white sand beaches, a world-class golf course, local shopping and restaurants. The house is light with an open-plan design incorporating a granite/stainless steel kitchen, living area, indoor/outdoor dining areas plus a terrace overlooking the pool and waterways. There are 3 bedrooms with separate fully equipped office, 2 bathrooms with spa bath, a double garage and air-conditioning.

Our neighborhoodTwin Waters is on the Sunshine Coast, only 10 minutes drive to Mooloolaba and Maroochydore, 25 minutes to Noosa and 1 hour to Brisbane. This award-winning area has been voted The World's Best Residential Address by the International Real Estate Federation and is a perfect location to experience a myriad of holiday options. Just a few minutes walk from our home is the Twin Waters Golf course. Dozens of wild kangaroos can be seen grazing on the course at the end of the day. We are close to pristine Mudjimba beach, a stunning strip of white sand stretching 8 kilometres from the Maroochy River to the Hyatt Coolum Beach Resort. The internationally acclaimed town of Noosa is a little further north. The Sunshine Coast has endless restaurant choices, excellent shopping - including the markets of Eumundi and the craft stores of the mountain villages - fishing, surfing, diving, kayaking, sailing and other sporting facilities. A 30 minute drive will take you to the Blackall Ranges for some dramatic terrain and spectacular views of mountains, valleys, rainforests and the Pacific Ocean to the east. Whilst 2 hours to the north is Fraser Island with endless golden beaches and hardwood forests which can be explored by 4 wheel drive tours..

Something about ourselvesWe are a "mature" couple, originally from UK, who love to travel. Having swapped homes on 31 occasions (in the US, Europe, South Africa, NZ and within Australia) we now consider ourselves quite experienced exchangers! The concept has brought us many new friends and provided opportunities to explore some wonderful places; often far away from the usual tourist haunts. We welcome all exchange offers in Australia and worldwide, although we do not ski and are happiest in "warmish" climates. We love animals and have looked after many pets in previous exchanges homes. We have one cat ourselves - Bailey - a Birman/tabby cross who would prefer to stay at home whilst we are exchanging. However, our neighbours would be happy to assist with her care if exchangers are away for a while. Unfortunately, our home is not suitable for children
