Our spacious and comfortable home is superbly located on a beautiful wide lake. The living and internal dining areas all have uninterrupted water views, as does the main bedroom and balcony. Relax around the sparkling pool, or swim in the safe salt waters of the lake. For exercise, the lake is ideal for canoeing, kayaking and windsurfing. It is also excellent fishing. The bedrooms are roomy and 3 have queen beds and the 4th has 2 single beds. We have an undercover outdoor dining area which is shaded except for very early morning, as well as another separate large tiled courtyard area which is great for dining under the stars.The gardens will be maintained during our absence.

Our neighborhood
The Gold Coast is Australia's most popular holiday destination with miles of beautiful sandy surf beaches and a warm climate all year round. Population exceeds 600,000 and is one of the fastest growing regions in Australia because of its wonderful warm climate and relaxed lifestyle. Our home is located only a short distance from Broadbeach surf beach, Pacific Fair shopping centre (the largest on the Gold Coast) and Jupiters Casino. Despite the closeness of these facilities our immediate enviroment is a quiet and safe residential area. The Gold Coast Arts Centre is also nearby and provides access to quality live theatre, musicals and cinema. There are countless number of fine restaurants within easy access, and, if you are a golfer then there are 27 international golf courses to choose from with the nearest just a few minutes walk away. Just a short trip west of the Gold Coast is the cooler hinterland offering huge National Parks, rainforests, native wildlife and wineries, while numerous walking trails provide access to spectacular views and cascading waterfalls. One hour by car north is the State capital of Brisbane and a short distance further north is the Australia Zoo made world famous by the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. Less than one hour drive south is Byron Bay, another wonderful beach area. The Gold Coast has it own airport from where you can take inexpensive flights anywhere in Australia. We are Bruce & Shirley , a semi retired couple, approaching our sixties. Bruce was a banking executive while Shirley has moved on from being a swimming teacher to volunteer work. We have 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren. Our elder girls are both married and our youngest still lives at home and attends a local university. Bruce likes sport, keeping fit, surfing, reading, theatre, museums and art galleries. Shirley likes surfing, exercising, dancing, theatre and her volunteer work. We both enjoy good food, good wine and the good company of family and friends. Our preferences are not rigid and we will consider any offers. It is possible that another mature couple may also accompany us.
