Welcome to our beautiful renovated Queenslander situated in a rural area less than ten minutes from the tropical city of Cairns. Our home has numerous qualities such as gorgeous polished floors throughout, new kitchen with Miele appliances and a huge French door Ice maker Refrigerator.
We have five generous sized bedrooms with a Queen, Double, king single and two single beds available as well as numerous mattresses as extras if needed.
With an open plan design, the kitchen dining and lounge room are perfect for our tropical life style. The focal point though has to be our welcoming veranda that is surrounded by trees and is the perfect place to entertain.
Upstairs are three spacious bedrooms all with huge casement windows with views of our beautiful garden. The bathroom and separate toilet are also upstairs.
Moving downstairs to the rumpus room there is a full size slate pool table and second lounge and television. The rumpus room opens through to the fourth and fifth bedrooms.
The laundry is also downstairs and is equipped with new washing machine and dryer.
Our garden is lush and just perfect on those warm afternoons. We have a new deep end above ground pool that has an automatic cleaning system.
There are pushbikes, fishing gear, scooters and all types of bats, balls and so many toys and things for children.
We are on the door step of the Great Barrier Reef and only ten minutes to beautiful beaches, Skyrail and the famous Kuranda Railway.
We have had two previous home swaps and we are so appreciative of the ability to stay in other’s homes. Our neighbourhood is beautiful and tropical with lush gardens and wide quiet streets. To get to our suburb from the airport, you drive through countryside filled with sugar cane and over a small bridge with a gorgeous shady creek meandering through.
We are approximately ten minutes from Cairns, the International and Domestic Airport and heading North we are only ten minutes to some of North Queenslands gorgeous beaches.
We are also in close proximity to the main road for buses into the city. Our neighbourhood is beautiful and tropical with lush gardens and wide quiet streets. We are a family of six who love to travel. The children are aged 9, 12, 14 and 16 years. Ideally we would love to travel anytime but unfortunately school holidays have to take precedence for us.
My husband Damian and myself enjoy camping and fishing with the children and are keen to show them a variety of life experiences that travel can offer. We have been to Bali and Hong Kong as a family and have just completed a homestay in Sydney, staying on a beautiful Island in Pittwater.
We have some budgies as pets with three being handreared and in need of minimal care. There is a larger avairy outside with five budgies inside. They also need minimal care.
