Hervey Bay is 290 kl north of Brisbane and accessible by direct flights from either Brisbane or Sydney, and by train or bus from the north or south. Across the bay is the famous Heritage Listed Fraser Island, well worth a day trip (or a few days) with ferries leaving from Hervey Bay. This area is also renown for whale watching with a choice of purpose built boats leaving daily during the season. The fishing is great as is the climate which is near perfect year round.Our house is at the quiet end of the Esplanade however coffee shops and a range of restaurants are easily accessible. There are 2 bikes and a paddle board available for you to use The heritage town of Maryborough (30 min drive) is an interesting place to spend a day as is Bundaberg (1 hour drive).

We are an active retired couple,aged 65 and 57, who love to travel. 2010 we enjoyed 3 exchanges in France and Spain, whilst in 2012 we have arranged exchanges for Sweden, Denmark, The Netherlands and Paris and are keen to experience more of this great big wonderful world. Other cultures, people, lifestyles, languages, scenery, are all of interest. Small towns/villages are fine with us. As our home is in the beautiful garden city of Toowoomba 130 kl west of Brisbane, we can offer you this very comfortable split level brick home adjoining Picnic Point National Park, as an alternative.
