Description of our house
Our home has been designed to provide an easy living and relaxed environment on the waterway of the Coomera River. We have a dedicated master bedroom overlooking the river and comprises bedroom, dressingroom, retreat and ensuite. Here we relax, enjoy the view, read, watch TV and DVD's. We have 2 large additional bedrooms, with queen size beds, full bathroom, study, gallery to courtyard, large living room, and adjoining dining with water views. Powder room & laundry also on the lower level. Fully equipped kitchen, with automatic coffee maker. Glass doors lead to an outdoor eating area with BBQ adjacent to the kitchen and top & lower balconies. Our garden and pontoon allows access to the river for boating, fishing or other water sports and it is most enjoyable to relax on the balcony and watch the sunset. Our home is open plan, fresh and uncluttered, fully equipped with modern conveniences, airconditioning and reverse cycle heating for winter. Easy level access, double car garage with internal entry for adverse weather.

The Gold Coast is the 6th largest city in Australia, and is approx 80 klms from our capital, Brisbane. It is a coastal strip approx 50 klms long in the south east corner of Queensland between the coastline and mountain range. The area offers beautiful surfing beaches, including the renowed Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, a wide choice of water sports, boating, fishing, sailing, and diving. Tours are available for the world heritage listed Fraser Island and the Great Barrier Reef, whale watching in season, hot air ballooning and cruises on the Broadwater. We have excellent dining and major shopping venues locally and, for the young at heart, are within 15 minutes of the Gold Coast Theme Parks, Dreamworld, Movieworld, Wet and Wild and Seaworld. Our Hinterland, 20 minutes away offers rainforest walks, restaurants, winery, arts and crafts and magnificent views of the Coastline and Coral Sea. Within a radius of 10 klms can be found 6 international golf courses for the golfing enthusiast. Both the regional train service and the major north/south highway are just minutes away and link us with our capital city, Brisbane which is a blend of modernity and our colonial history. Our domestic airport connects with all capital cities and most regional towns. Direct flights can also be made to outer islands a little further north. Our winters are mild, warm days and crisp nights, so it is still enjoyable to experience our coastline all year through.
Something about ourselves
We are recent and active retirees who are keen to travel and experience other places, peoples and cultures. Both Kerrie and I have in the past enjoyed our visits to Europe and are now looking forward to home exchanges that will offer us more enjoyable experiences. We are particular with our home and will respect and care for the property of others. We are non smokers and have no pets.
