Our newly renovated house is modern, clean and very comfortable. It is a large open-planned home with 4 bedrooms and a study. Our traditional "Queenslander" style of home embraces our warm weather with relaxing, sweeping decks/verandas.
The yard is fenced with a lush lawn and well kept gardens. All bedrooms are large with 1x king size, 1 x double and 2 x single beds.
The kitchen has all modern appliances and opens on to a large deck for dining and entertaining. Our newly renovated house is modern, clean and very comfortable. Our home is in a quiet street and is well situated only 4 kms from Brisbane CBD and is a short walk to the local village that hosts well renowned restaurants and coffee shops. Transportation in and around Brisbane is made very accessible with a regular train and bus service at the end of our street.
Our friendly, leafy, inner city suburb has numerous parks, golf courses and walking/cycling tracks to enjoy. Local swimming pools are very close and a short 10 minute train ride can have you at Southbank, Museums, Art galleries, parklands and CBD shopping.
The beautiful Queensland beaches of the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast are only 1+hr drive away or can be easily accessed by rail or bus. On route to our beautiful beaches are many QLD tourist attractions such as: Australia Zoo, Underwater World, Dreamworld, Movie World, Wet and Wild, and Sea World. The use of our car may also be possible. My husband, Michael and I are keen to journey with our two girls to other parts of the world. We are both teachers and our well-behaved girls are now of a good age (Olivia 8yrs & Jessica 5yrs) to appreciate and learn about other countries and cultures.
Ideally, we are very keen to organise an exchange with possibly two or three families in Europe during our travel period of mid April - mid July 2011. It would be perfect if we could exchange houses for 3 or 4 weeks.
We must travel during this period however, if a simultaneous exchange is not possible or not necessary for you at these times we could offer our house during mid Sept - Oct, 2011 or Dec - Jan 2011/12.
We have a cat (Lucy) that would also enjoy your company during your stay but, is also able to be fed by our friendly neighbours. We are very house proud and our family would look after your home in the same manner.
Finally, all homes/destinations will be considered. So make us an offer. We look forward to speaking with you soon.
