We have a spacious lowset brick home with a pool in an excellent area of town to offer you. It is a very comfortable 4 bedroom house with an open plan kitchen, dining, living room area and media room. The house has fully ducted airconditioning and heating, plus ceiling fans in each room. The main bedroom has a king size bed and a large ensuite with direct access to the outdoor entertaining area. One bedroom is used as an office and also has a sofa bed in it, our son's bedroom has a king single bed, and the guest bedroom has a queen size bed. There is a large outdoor entertaining area with a BBQ at the back of the house which leads to the refreshing 10m swimming pool. In the backyard for the children, there is also a trampoline,a swing set and an excellent wooden cubby house with a sandpit underneath. The whole yard has an automatic in-ground sprinkler system to keep the grass nice and green. We have a double car garage with remote doors and our 2005 Holden Statesman would be available for you to use during your stay. Our house is in a friendly neighbourhood and is located close to all amenities.

The town of Emerald (pop. 16000) is the hub of the Central Highlands and our house is ideally located for touring around this area eg. Carnarvon Gorge National Park, Blackdown Tableland National Park and the Capricorn Coast area of Queensland eg. Rockhampton (2 3/4hrs drive), Yeppoon (3 1/2hrs drive) and Great Keppel Island. Nearby to Emerald is Lake Maraboon/Fairbairn Dam (15 mins drive) for watersports and fishing, and the Sapphire Gemfields where you can go fossicking for your own gems. Cotton farming and other agricultural and mining operations are also prominent in Central Queensland. Our car will be available for you to go touring around this area and further afield to the Australian Outback, North Queensland, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Brisbane and more. We are a married couple with a 6yr old son looking to experience exchanges overseas or within Australia. My husband works in the mining industry and I am a teacher currently on family leave. We have just returned from a long term exchange to Canada and thoroughly loved it. We love the idea of home exchanges as they are a great way to explore and live in another country plus see more of our own country. We would love to hear from you.
