Our neighbourhood is quiet and we have great neighbours. The airport is 15 mins by car as is Cairns CBD. Famous Palm Cove is about 5 kms to the north with one of the most scenic coastal drives to Port Douglas then on to the Daintree river, tropical rainforest, Cape Tribulation, Cooktown, etc etc. It takes 30 mins to get onto the Tablelands where the temperature and humidity are often a lot less than the coastal plain. Paradise Palms Country Club with a great golf course is 5 mins away. And of course, The Great Barrier Reef is straight out to sea. ![]() Something about ourselves
[
![]() ]
Rosemary and I moved from the UK where I was in the RAF and she with the BBC. I took up Air traffic control and Rosemary Domestic Management, raising two gorgeous daughters. We both retired in 1992 and hit the road for 4 years in caravan with 4 WD. Being still young we had 7 succesful years in the commercial world, then retired again, settling in Trinity Beach and travelling when able. Entering our senior years, early seventies, and still looking for "green pastures" we see home exchange as a good way of doing the things we love, travelling and meeting people. With a bit of Golf, Bowls and Bridge thrown in, of course. ![]()
